Groundnut Cake / KADALAI Cake | Organic Fertilizer 1.5/2.5/5 Kg
Groundnut cake, also known as peanut cake, is a type of organic fertilizer that is derived from the residual cake left after extracting oil from groundnuts (peanuts). It is a byproduct of the groundnut oil production process and is commonly used as a nutrient-rich supplement for plant growth.
Groundnut cake is a rich source of organic matter, protein, and other essential nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. These nutrients are important for plant growth and development, and groundnut cake can provide a slow-release source of these nutrients, making it an effective fertilizer for improving soil fertility and supporting plant growth.
Liquid compost making process: Nutrient content percentage % ratio for this manure is N: P: K=7.3: 3: 2.2 this helps in improving the health of plants.
All prices are inclusive of GST. The compost comes packaged in a high-quality waterproof bag.
How to add the compost?
- Groundnut cake for plants can be used either directly as dry powder or can be used as liquid NPK fertilizers which enables flowering and higher yield in plants. It can help improve soil fertility, promote healthy root development, and enhance overall plant vigor.
- Measure out 500 gm of groundnut cake and place it in a container suitable for soaking.
- Add approximately 15 L of water to the container with the groundnut cake. The ratio of groundnut cake to water can be adjusted depending on the desired concentration of the liquid compost.
- Stir the solution thoroughly to mix the groundnut cake with the water.
- Leave the container in a shaded area for 24 hours to allow the nutrients from the groundnut cake to dissolve into the water.
- After 24 hours, the liquid compost is ready for use. You can strain the solution to remove any solid particles, or use it as is.
- To apply the liquid compost to your plants, measure out 1 cup (or more if the plant is larger) of the solution and pour it near the roots of each plant once a week. Alternatively, you can dig a hole near the plant, place a few pieces of groundnut cake in the hole, and cover it with soil. This will allow the groundnut cake to slowly release nutrients into the soil as it decomposes.
